Geldia Fork One

Nostrils flaring with growing anticipation, Covix trotted on through the dark cave. As his splayed hooves touched the cold ground, it would create a soft beating sound, which echoed throughout the cave and made the young stallion only more nervous. Crystal-like water droplets seeped through the cracks in the tunnel roof, landing with an deep, vibrating plop. Once, an ice-cold water droplet fell onto the unicorn's sleek back, causing the colt to break into a flighty sprint. He, after that goofy incident, would laugh casually and continue with his journey. Trying his best not to flee when something random spooked him, the sleek black colt trotted along through the tunnels, his flame-colored eyes glowing with growing curiosity.

The unicorn turned his head to gaze at the demanding wolfbird, his horn swaying with his motion and nearly scraping against the lowering tunnel roof. The suspicious glare planted on the creature's face annoyed Covix. How dangerous could he really seem? Blade-sharp horn placed about his forehead, powerful limbs, and an eerie set of fiery eyes? Okay, so that's a little intimidating.. So what! What type of dumb nut would dare attack a wolfbird?

Covix flinched slightly at the loud inquiry and pinned his ears back, awaiting another ear-blasting demand. When there was none to come, then did the sleek equine answer. "Greetings," he dipped his head (which was rather hard to do without touching them with his horn) at the horse hybrid and wolfbird respectfully. His voice sounded deep, yet soft, but rather.. booming. "My name is Covix, I am a.. er unicorn, obviously." He glanced up at his horn, which was rather difficult to spot, as it was just above and in the middle of his eye sockets. All he could see of his horn was a small blur above him. He shrugged his shoulders before returning his gaze on the two creatures with a thoughtful expression.

Covix shrugged his shoulders at the lion horse's question. He actually didn't really know why he bothered place hoof in this eerie old cave. The young equine saw a few creatures entering the tunnel and just decided to tag along, out of pure curiosity. His eyes drifted over toward the other creature, a dog, who was munching on a rat that Enelex had killed earlier. The canine seemed very wary and fearful of the rest; Covix did not blame her for feeling that way either. In any moment, one of them could turn on another, and that would not be pretty.

Covix nosed around the cave floor, searching for some type of vegetation to eat. He quickly discovered a luscious patch of forest moss and started nibbling at it, and it tasted surprisingly appetizing; sweet and juicy, just how he liked it. Covix stopped munching when he heard a question from Enelex directed toward him. Covix, swallowing his mouthful, looked over at Enelex. He had to think a little bit before answering this question, as it was a tough one that brought back plenty of bittersweet memories. After a long silence, he spoke: "I come from a long line of rulers from a far-off land -- a land I think is to the south of this one. I'm not so sure. But It's a long story, so to keep is brief, I did not want this position as 'ruler.' I ran away from my herd, changing my title from 'The Future King' to 'Wanderer', leaving it all behind."
